Common questions
Do I need a credit card to start? ▼
No. The free tier is genuinely free — no credit card, no trial period, no expiry. Generate a key and start building immediately.
What counts as a "request"? ▼
Any call to /api/games or /api/games/<id>. Browsing the web interface, using the game browser, and visiting game detail pages don't count toward your API limit.
When do limits reset? ▼
Daily limits reset at midnight UTC. Rate limit headers (X-RateLimit-Remaining) in every API response show how many requests you have left today.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time? ▼
Yes. Paid tiers aren't live yet — we're finishing the payment integration. When it's ready, upgrades take effect immediately and your API key stays the same. No new keys, no re-integration.
What happens if I hit my daily limit? ▼
The API returns a 429 Too Many Requests response with a JSON body explaining the limit. Limits reset at midnight UTC — no data is lost.
