1. Quality Sprinklers Are a Game Changer

Regular sprinklers water a + shape. Quality Sprinklers (crafted at Farming Level 6) water a 3ร—3 area. Iridium Sprinklers (Level 10) water a 5ร—5 area. Going from manual watering to Iridium Sprinklers is the biggest time save in the game.

2. Time Stops Inside Buildings

The clock pauses when you're inside your farmhouse, the mines, or any interior. Use this to manage time โ€” if you're running low, go inside to organize inventory without losing game time.

3. You Can Pet Animals Every Day

Petting farm animals daily increases their mood and product quality. It takes seconds and significantly improves your output. Set it as a morning routine.

4. Fish Ponds Generate Passive Income

Fish Ponds produce items based on the fish stocked. Lava Eels produce Roe that becomes Aged Roe (worth 1,064g each). Sturgeon produce Sturgeon Roe, which becomes Caviar (the highest artisan product value). Set these up mid-game for late-game passive gold.

5. Casks Age Products for Profit

Build a Cellar (house upgrade) and fill it with Casks. Aged Pale Ale, Wine, and Cheese all dramatically increase in value over time. Iridium-quality Starfruit Wine sells for 6,300g.

6. Speed Gro Stacks With Agriculturist

Speed Gro fertilizer (reduces growth time by 10%) and the Agriculturist profession (reduces growth time by 10%) stack multiplicatively. Some crops that wouldn't normally regrow in a season suddenly become viable.

7. The Traveling Cart Appears Friday and Sunday

The Traveling Cart south of the farm sells random items โ€” including rare seeds and items needed for Bundles. Check it every Friday and Sunday without fail until you've completed the Community Center.

8. Lightning Rods Protect Your Farm

Lightning can destroy crops and set trees on fire. Placing Lightning Rods (crafted at Foraging Level 6) converts lightning strikes into Battery Packs, a useful resource. Put several around the farm.

9. Geodes Are Worth Cracking All at Once

Save up geodes and take them all to Clint at the same time โ€” he processes one per day, but you can queue many. This is more efficient than making multiple trips.

10. Staircases Speed Up Mine Completion

You can craft Staircases (99 Stone each) to skip floors in the mines entirely. Useful for reaching the Skull Cavern fast or recovering after passing a floor you wanted to explore.

11. The Skull Cavern Needs Bombs

The Skull Cavern (Calico Desert, unlocked after the Vault Bundle) has no bottom. Bombs clear rooms instantly. Stock 20โ€“30 Mega Bombs before a Skull Cavern run and go deep โ€” Iridium Ore starts appearing at Floor 100+.

12. Foraging Bushes Respawn

Large bushes on the beach and in Cindersap Forest respawn seasonal berries. Check them regularly โ€” Spring Onions, Salmonberries, and Blackberries provide free income early on.

13. Hats Are at Pierre's on Wednesday

Pierre's shop has a Tuesday day off. On Wednesdays, his store opens and occasionally stocks seasonal hats. Aesthetic-only but worth checking.

14. Coops Can Be Upgraded While Full

You don't need to move animals out to upgrade a Coop or Barn. Robin upgrades the building around the existing animals.

15. Rabbit's Foot Is the Universal Gift

A Rabbit's Foot is liked by almost every character in town โ€” useful when you don't know what someone wants. Keep a few in your inventory during festivals.
