Signalis: Survival Horror Tips — Inventory, Enemies, and Pacing
How to manage your tiny inventory, when to fight vs run, and how to prepare for the game's escalating horror.
Inventory Is Your Hardest Resource
ELSTER has only 6 inventory slots. Everything counts: weapons, ammo, healing, key items, and combination materials all compete for the same space. Always check if a consumable can be crafted or combined before carrying raw components. Drop excess ammo types if you're committing to one weapon.
Enemies Respawn — Management Is Key
Enemies come back when you re-enter a room (with a few exceptions). Don't waste resources on enemies you can route around. Save ammo for large groups or necessary kills blocking progress. The running dodge (tap dodge) lets you slip past most single enemies.
Weapons Have Situational Value
- Handgun — Reliable, common ammo. Good for weak enemies.
- Shotgun — High crowd control, heavy ammo. Use in tight corridors with groups.
- Flare Gun — Single-use per flare, but staggers and blinds. Excellent for fast, hard-to-hit enemies.
- Thermite — Crafted from components. Destroys certain enemy types outright and breaks environmental barriers.
Save Thermite for Hunters
Hunter-type Replika are fast, resilient, and dangerous to fight normally. Thermite is your most efficient counter. Identify them by their aggressive movement pattern and save your strongest tools for these encounters.
Pay Attention to the Lore
SIGNALIS has a densely layered story told through item descriptions, notes, and environmental details. The narrative is worth following carefully — the game rewards attentive players with a coherent (if surreal) conclusion. Multiple endings exist based on in-game choices.
